Along with its official partners PLDT Home Fibr, Smart Telecom, Royal Duty Free, Metro Pacific Investments, Gerry Roxas Foundation, and TOYM Foundation, JCI Philippines held a press launch at Discovery Suites, Ortigas Center to kick-off the prestigious award this 2023.
The event was hosted and graced by JCI Philippines 2023 National President Kerby Javier Salazar, TOYM National Chairman Joven Bernados and Deputy National Chairperson Reginald Andal together with the TOYM Foundation President Chaye Cabal-Revilla, TOYM Chairperson Bienvenido Tantoco III and past TOYM honorees namely; George Royeca, Shawntel Nieto, Victor Baguilat, and Don Prisno. The event was also co-hosted and joined by JCI Manila headed by their 2023 Local Organization President Eric Ke.
Bannering this year's theme of "Passionate Leaders, Embracing Innovations," the award aims to recognize Filipinos ages 18 to 40 who had significantly contributed to the development of his/her community or industry. The honorees, as distinguished members of society, would inspire the youth to be catalysts of change. By spreading positivity and initiating goodwill, the honorees play a vital role as inspirations for all Filipinos.
This year also marks the 64th year of TOYM. The Organization and its partners are geared to make the nomination process more accessible to underrepresented sectors and demographics. A series of stakeholders' forum and caravan would be conducted in various locations around the country in the weeks to come. Through this strategy, the organizers expect to tap groups and individuals to highlight experts, colleagues, innovators and professionals who would be most deserving of the award.
