These include heavily flooded areas due to the southwest monsoon (habagat) and the recent typhoons that hit the country.
In these schools that were affected by floods and were not able to open onsite or face-to-face classes, Bringas said that they adopted measures like shifting, modified in-school, and off-school approaches, and other alternative delivery modes.
Meanwhile, Bringas assured that the Disaster Risk and Reduction Management Service (DRRMS) and School Infrastructure and Facilities (SIF) are prioritizing the repair of classrooms damaged by these typhoons.
He added that the Quick Response Fund (QRF), including the provision of Temporary Learning Spaces (TLS), will also be instituted for these cases.
