Construction materials and other assistance will be provided to families whose houses were completely destroyed during the massive flooding in Bulacan.

This was assured by President Ferdinand "Bongbong" Marcos Jr. during the distribution of aid in the province on Monday, Aug. 7.
Marcos said that the Department of Human Settlements and Urban Development (DHSUD) and the National Housing Authority (NHA) stand ready to provide financial help to affected residents.
Those whose houses were completely destroyed will be given construction materials for rebuilding while those who can no longer have their residences rebuilt, will be relocated, the President said.
“Kung hindi na talaga pwede ay magbigay tayo, maghahanap tayo ng housing. Ang Department of Human Settlements ay nandiyan. Nandiyan din ang NHA para tulungan ang mga nasira talaga ang mga bahay at magkaroon na ng permanent na housing na maganda (If it can no longer be rebuilt, we will find a housing location. The Department of Human Settlements is there, as well as the NHA to help us provide permanent housing to those who were affected)," Marcos said.
The Chief Executive also said he will order the DHSUD to study the possibility of stockpiling construction materials in order to meet the needs of families after a calamity.
According to the Provincial Government of Bulacan, 100 percent or 24 cities and municipalities of the province were affected by flooding triggered by super typhoon Egay, the southwest monsoon, and typhoon Falcon.
Some 296,426 families or 1,080,883 individuals were affected by the flooding, leaving a total of P768,671,475.00 worth of loss and damage in agriculture, livestock and poultry, and infrastructure.
Meanwhile, the provincial government of Bulacan received P15 million, representing the first tranche of the P20 million allotted for the province. The City of Malolos, and the towns of San Miguel, Hagonoy, Pulilan, San Rafael, San Ildefonso, Bustos, Calumpit, Paombong and Bulakan, all received P2 million, representing the first tranche of the P3 million in aid.
