The Department of Education (DepEd) on Monday, Aug. 7, said the “recalibrated” K to 10 basic education curriculum will be launched this week.
“We have already been making arrangements with a venue so we will launch K to 10 curriculum this week, definitely,” DepEd Undersecretary and Spokesperson Michael Poa during the presser for this year’s National Brigada Eskwela kick-off in Tarlac.
“Our target date is Aug. 10 [and] we will be calling it the MATATAG K to 10 curriculum,” he added.

In an earlier interview, Poa said that the recalibrated K to 10 curriculum is part of DepEd’s efforts for learning recovery.
The implementation of the revised K to 10 curriculum is set for next year, School Year (SY) 2024-2025, to prepare for the learning resources needed before the actual rollout.
The review for the Senior High School (SHS), however, is still ongoing according to DepEd.
