Ticket bought in Quezon City yields latest lotto millionaire

- As per Tax Reform for Acceleration and Inclusion (TRAIN) Law, a 20-percent tax deduction will be applied to the grand prize since it is worth more than P10,000.
The Philippine Charity Sweepstakes Office (PCSO) announced on Sunday, Aug. 6, that the winning ticket which yielded the latest millionaire came from a lotto outlet in Barangay Socorro, Quezon City.

The previous Lotto 6/42 prize winner was from Cavite, which bagged the P22,821,402.20 jackpot last July 22.

Meanwhile, as per Tax Reform for Acceleration and Inclusion (TRAIN) Law, a 20-percent tax deduction will be applied to the grand prize since it is worth more than P10,000.
PCSO also reminded that if the jackpot is not claimed within a year, it will be forfeited to the Charity Fund under Republic Act 1169 or the PCSO Charter.
