Join Manila Bulletin's Pamana: Special Recipes of Lolo & Lola Video Contest for 'Grandparents Day'

September 10, 2023 is a special day of celebrating grandparents who nurtured us in becoming who we are. To give thanks to them, Manila Bulletin and The SM Store is excited to announce the Grandparent's Day 2023 Pamana: Special Recipes of Lolo & Lola Video Making Contest. This unique competition aims to celebrate the bond between grandparents and their grandchildren by highlighting their cherished family recipes. 

The competition requires the participation of at least one grandparent and one grandchild, who will collaborate to create a captivating 60-second video showcasing their heirloom or favorite dishes. Participants can let their creativity shine by incorporating effects and filters into their videos, as long as the TikTok watermark is the only visible branding.

To join, interested participants must follow Manila Bulletin's official social media pages on Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, and TikTok. Entries should be posted publicly on any of these platforms, accompanied by the hashtag #MBGrandparentsDay2023 and by tagging @manilabulletin. For TikTok entries, participants must activate the "Allow Duet" function.

The deadline for posting entries is September 6, 2023. After posting, participants must send an e-mail to [email protected] with the subject line "Pamana: Special Recipe of Lolo & Lola" and the video file, following the specified file naming format. (Surname and First Name of participating grandparent.)

The e-mail entry should also include the grandparent's name, age, birthday, a valid ID, mobile number, and the link to the social media post. By submitting their videos, participants agree to allow Manila Bulletin to use the materials for publicity and promotional purposes.

All entries will be evaluated by Manila Bulletin representatives based on creativity (30%), originality (20%), overall presentation (40%), and viewers' impact (10%). Exciting prizes await the winners, with five (5) lucky participants receiving P5,000 worth of The SM Store gift certificates, and ten (10) others getting P1,000 worth of The SM Store gift certificates.

The winners will be announced on September 10, 2023, at 6:00 AM, through Manila Bulletin's social media pages. Please note that employees of Manila Bulletin and their relatives up to the third degree of consanguinity or affinity are not eligible to participate.

Prize claimants can collect their winnings at the Manila Bulletin main office located at Muralla corner Recoletos Sts., Intramuros, Manila, on a pre-scheduled basis. It's important to note that unclaimed prizes after 45 days from the announcement will be forfeited.
