Live streaming platform celebrates creativity and vibrant cultures with mid-year gala

Bigo Live Philippines celebrates its Mid-Year Gala

Glitter and glamor filled the night as Bigo Live kicked off its annual Bigo Live Philippines Mid-Year Gala, celebrating the "creativity and vibrant cultures" of its community.

The global live streaming platform held the event at Revel at The Palace on Aug. 19, 2023, with over 100 Bigo Live broadcasters, hosts, users, agencies, and partners present.

“Bigo Live serves as an important space for people from all walks of life to showcase and grow their talents. The Gala was a glamorous night of recognizing and celebrating the Bigo Live broadcasters in the Philippines who have truly made their mark in the community,” according to the company’s statement.

The gala also recognized the best within its community across 12 award categories: Gala Livehouse Star, Gala PK Star, Gala Ranking Star, Regional Gala Star, Incredible Star, Bigo Star Producer, PUGC Installation Pioneer, PUGC Installation Surprise, PUGC Almighty Agency, Rising Family, Promising Family, Gala Top Agency, and Top Family.

Bigo Live also recognizes the growing size and power of the creator economy in the Philippines, in which they provide an "enriching space defined by empowerment and authenticity."

“The Filipinos continue to inspire us daily with their laudable talent and their ability to empower inclusive and dynamic communities. Looking ahead, Bigo Live remains dedicated to enhancing creator communities by leveraging our platform to further deepen the localized social ecosystem.
