Offshore Music teams up with Sony Music Philippines

Sony Music Entertainment (SME) Philippines has formed a strategic partnership with Ely Buendia’s indie label Offshore Music.

Under the partnership, SME will distribute Offshore Music’s catalog worldwide and will team up with them for marketing, promotions, artist management and development.

Offshore Music is home to music talents such as Ena Mori, Pinkmen, Sulo, Sansette, Eliza Marie, Tony Panagu and Buendia’s own band Apartel.

SME’s General Manager Roslyn Pineda said the team up with Offshore Music just came naturally.

“Ely Buendia has always been an integral part of the Sony Music family, as The Eraserheads’ catalog is with our label,” she states, adding, “with this partnership, we are thrilled to be working with him more closely moving forward.”

Buendia for his part said, “We’re hopeful that this unique partnership is the start of a fresh new era for the Filipino music scene.”

The first official release involving the labels is a reworking of Ena Mori's "Vivid."
