DOH logs 96 new Covid-19 cases on Aug. 16

The Department of Health recorded 96 new Covid-19 cases on Wednesday, Aug. 16, making the total number of infections rise to 4,108,648.

There are 3,048 active cases and 134 recoveries, resulting in a total of 4,038,946.

Five deaths were reported, bringing the total casualties to 66,654.

Meanwhile, 13.6 percent, or 3,091 Covid-19 beds, are occupied while 19,711 are vacant.

The National Capital Region has recorded the most number of cases in the past 14 days with 402, followed by Calabarzon with 234, and Central Luzon with 189.
