Man, 63, arrested for raping girl, 10, in Rizal

A 63-year-old man was arrested by Angono police on Tuesday, April 1, for raping his then 10-year-old granddaughter in 2019.

The suspect was identified as "Joel," tagged as the No. 2 Most Wanted Person under the provincial level. He was arrested in Barangay San Isidro, Angono Rizal.

According to Rizal Police Provincial Office (Rizal PPO) director Col. Felipe Maraggun, Joel was the father of the victim's stepmother.

He abused the child in 2019 and in February 2022.

The suspect is currently under the custody of the Angono Police and is facing charges of statutory rape.
