'No accountability': Ben Tulfo hits vloggers, content creators hiding their identities

Calling them the fifth estate, senatorial candidate Ben Tulfo slammed content creators and vloggers who hide their identity; having no accountability for the content they're sharing on social media.
"Now, the problem is with the fifth estate, they are free to do what they want because the accountability (is only) by themselves and for themselves," he said.
In an interview, Tulfo said that despite this, there are still responsible vloggers and content creators who should be supported and followed. According to him, this includes lawyers, doctors, cooks, and housewives.
"The loud ones are some vloggers who sometimes spread content that is borderline fake news, attack left and right," he said.
"This is the hot topic of discussion in Congress right now, as it is prevalent on social media.,” he added.
While there are digital platforms owned by news agencies which he referred to as the fourth estate, he questioned vloggers whose content includes stating all sorts of things on their platform and are not under a structure of checks and balances.
“The fourth estate, these are the print, radio, TV. Kapag sinabing the (When you say the) fourth estate, you have an accountability working under the franchise of a network, a publication or broadcast na licensed ka, which means you follow the ethics, you follow the laws of journalism and you put sacredness or the canon of journalism,” he explained.
