Nadine Lustre is simply breathaking in her fringe terno at the 71st FAMAS Awards

The Best Actress winner donned a piece designed by Rajo Laurel

There’s no doubt that Nadine Lustre can serve a winning look. Last December, the 29-year-old star stole the spotlight at the Metro Manila Film Festival 2022’s Gabi ng Parangal not just because she won Best Actress and was hailed as one of the Stars of the Night, but also with her figure-hugging corseted long gown in a caramel tone ensemble. This time, she's serving another winning look as she took home the Best Actress and Face of the Night award at the Filipino Academy of Movie Arts and Sciences (FAMAS) Awards 2023.

For the event, the “Greedy” star wore a fringe terno gown by noted Filipino fashion designer Rajo Laurel dubbed the "Swing terno." The look was part of the designer’s recent collection presented in Cebu earlier this year. Dubbed “Tern-tux,” the collection plays with the contrast of masculine tailoring and hyper-femininity of the butterfly sleeves. The element of movement was also alive in his collection with terno garbs imbued with a multitude of fringe. Stylist Lyn Alumno paired Rajo’s fringe terno with fine jewelry pieces courtesy of Miladay Jewels.

The 71st FAMAS Awards was held at Fiesta Pavilion of the Manila Hotel. Apart from Nadine, one of the night's big winners was the movie “Family Matters,” which took home the Best Actor (Noel Trinidad), Best Supporting Actress (Nikki Valdez), Best Editing, and Best Picture awards.
