To earn a living as a young man, John Roque used his body strength and good physique in fulfilling duties for a shipping company in Tondo. (Kumakarga raw ng bading! Chos!) “Beans po yung binubuhat ko na ginagawang soya. Binubuhat ko po 50 kilos. Sa bawat buhat po naming ng sako ay 10 pesos. Tapos bubuhatin naming nasa 1400 na sako na tig 50 kilos. Kita ko po 800 pesos buong araw," John recalls. (Buhatin mo ko bro!) Since he loves dancing, he left his “kargador” persona and tried his luck as a dancer in a bar. “Nagkaroon  ng audition ng dancer sa Manila, mga cultural dance po. Natanggap ako tapos nagustuhan ako nung manager naming Korean dinala ako sa branch nila sa Boracay. “ (Sirena raw yung manager!)
It was in the island of Boracay where he met a transwoman who became his girlfriend. “Hindi naman po nagkakaiba ang pagmamahal sa babae at sa transwoman. Tumagal ang relasyon naming ng two years. Pero kasi medyo nagkalayo kami ng tirahan. Tapos medyo naghanap pa rin ako ng babae." (Habulin mo ko bro! Habulin mo ko!) The 26-year-old bachelor decided to continue his dance gigs in Manila which eventually led him to start a career in showbiz. (Simulan na rin natin ang storya natin bro!) “Nung bumalik ako ng Maynila. Nag-dancer naman ako sa mga variety show sa bar parang ala Magic Mike.Yung mga bayo bayo at kaldag kaldag.  May isa akong tropa dun na nagrecommend sakin sa mga indie at Vivamax," John shares. (Pa-kaldag naman bro!)
John has recently started a project with Miss Universe Gloria Diaz for Vivamax. “Gro na lalaki po ang role ko. Tatlo po kami tapos kaeksena ko po si Miss Gloria Diaz. Malaking karangalan po talaga at ako lang po yung bukod tanging nagpakita ng puwet sa mga boys kasi yung eksena nahuli kami dahil may raid," John boasts. (Eh Miss Gloria ano ipinakita?!) In his recent guest appearance on our digital show na WTFu, he promised to be more daring in his future projects. “Kaya ko naman magpakita ng harap ko. Basta po sa pelikula. Nagkakatotoo ata yung pangarap ko nung bata ako na maging bold star. Trip trip namin kasi yun ng mga bata kami.” (Ipakita mo na yan bro! Habang may oras pa!)   (Youtube/FB: WTFu.
