The street sweeper said the box was still in the same spot when he passed by the area again past 1 p.m. He finally checked the box and was shocked to see that it contained a dead person. Palomares then sought help from a barangay tanod (watchman). Police confirmed that the dead person was a woman. Police said the victim was wrapped with a white blanket and her arms tied with a rubber and an aluminum wire. There were also indications that the woman’s face was bashed with a hard object. Barangay Tisa Chairman Ringo Pacaña said it was possible that the woman was killed somewhere and dumped in the area. Pacaña said the victim could not be a resident of Tisa as they did not receive a report of a missing person in their area. The body was taken to a funeral parlor. Police Major Angelito Valleser, chief of the Labangon Police Station, called on those who have missing relatives to visit the police station to possibly identify the body.
