Another mother arrested for ‘selling online sexual shows, abuse materials of her own children’

Another mother has been arrested by the National Bureau of Investigation (NBI) for allegedly selling online sexual shows and child sexual abuse and exploitation materials (CSAEM) which included those of her minor children.

Just like in the case in Dinalupihan, Bataaan almost two weeks ago, the NBI did not disclose the name of the mother arrested by agents of its Anti-Human Trafficking Division (NBI-AHTRAD) last May 31 in Taguig City.

It said the mother was arrested in her house in Taguig City when NBI-AHTRAD implemented a warrant to search, seize and examine computer data (WSSECD) issued by the court.

It said “operatives caught the Subject in the act of offering online sexual shows of children to the undercover agent.”

During the operation, NBI-AHTRAD agents also “rescued four (4) minor children, three of whom were identified in the CSAEM found on the Subject’s seized cellphone.”

The NBI said its agents acted on “the information received from the United States-Homeland Security Investigation (US-HSI) about a certain Filipino facilitator offering sexual shows and child sexual abuse and exploitation materials (CSAEM) online to foreign customers for a fee.”

“Agents of NBI-AHTRAD communicated with the US-HSI and was able to view and receive a copy of the chat conversation between the HSI undercover and the Subject,” it said.

“NBI-AHTRAD was able to confirm that the Subject is indeed offering her minor children to foreign undercover for online sexual shows and that CSAEMs were created, produced and being distributed by Subject,” it added.

In the Dinalupihan, Bataan case, the mother reportedly forced and exploited her five minor children – with ages ranging from two to 17 years old -- to engage in online sex.

The mother was charged with violations of Republic Act (RA) No. 11930, the Anti-Online Sexual Abuse or Exploitation of Children (OSAEC) and Anti-Child Sexual Abuse or Exploitation Materials (CSAEM); RA No. 11862, the Anti-Trafficking in Persons Act of 2003, as amended; and RA No. 7610, the Anti-Child Abuse Law.

It is expected that the NBI would also charge the mother arrested in Taguig City with the same criminal complaints.
