Any time is a good time for a pizza. With its melted cheese, loads of toppings, and tasty dough base, pizza is one of the ultimate comfort food. And if you are hungry for a slice, there are many food spots to visit to satisfy your craving. But if you want the best, these three pizzerias are the places to visit.
Last May, 50 Top Pizza APAC 2023 unveiled its list of the best pizzerias in Asia-Pacific. Included in its top 50 rosters are three Filipino food spots. First is Crosta Pizzeria, which ranked number 10. Located in Salcedo Village, Makati City, the brand, led by Thomas Woudwyk and Ingga Cabangon, also bagged the Pizza of the Year 2023 – Latteria Sorrentina Award for its Cherry Culatello pie by Japanese-Filipino chef Yuichi Abellare Ito.
“The Philippines broke into the Top 10 of the best pizzerias in Asia-Pacific 2023 and we are beyond ecstatic to be representing the Philippines,” Crosta Pizzeria posted. “On Sept. 13, we continue to raise the Philippine flag as we fly to Naples and partake in the Top 100 Pizzerias awarding amongst pizzerias not just from Asia-Pacific, but from all over the world.”
Taking the 15th spot is A Mano. Founded by Amado Forés, the restaurant, which has branches in Rockwell, BGC, and soon in Quezon City, was praised for authentic Italian eats, from handmade pizzas to pasta, risotto, and ice cream. Completing the Filipino food spots that made it to the list is Wild Flour Italian at the 35th spot. Run by Wildflour Group’s CEO and president Ana de Ocampo, the Taguig-based restaurant is loved for its “white focaccia with Mediterranean-inspired ingredients and toppings as well as [its] selection of classic pizzas.”
This is not the first time Crosta Pizzeria, A Mano, and Wild Flour Italian made it to the 50 Top Pizza APAC’s list. Last year, in its inaugural list, the three restaurants took the 32nd, 48th, and 38th spots, respectively.
Dominating the 50 Top Pizza APAC 2023 list is Japan’s The Pizza Bar On 38th with China’s Bottega and Pizzeria Peppe Napoli Sta’ Ca” in Japan taking the second and third spots. View the full list here.
