The name Kurobuta is derived from the Japanese term for “black pig,” after some of the Berkshire pigs were gifted to the Emperor of Japan in the mid-19th century. The Kurobuta pigs of Esguerra farm are naturally grown and pasture-raised, where the happy pigs can roam freely. Kurobuta pork is a staple of Cafe Ilang-Ilang’s dinner buffet for every Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday this month of June, you and your dad will really taste the difference from your average pork dish!
