Bored & Hungry presents its newest creation, the OG Pinoy Burger
Just in time for Philippine Independence Day.

Since arriving in the Philippines, NFT-themed restaurant Bored & Hungry has garnered a great local following due to its Bored Apes digital art theme and truly mouthwatering burger creations. This time, the American food brand unveils its latest offering dedicated to celebrating the distinct flavors of Filipino cuisine.
Just in time for the 125th celebration of Philippine Independence, the local branch of Bored & Hungry brings to the table the OG Pinoy Burger. Made with ingredients sourced locally, the burger features a patty inspired by the Vigan longganisa or Ilocano-style longganisa. It is topped with a fried egg, atsara, and banana ketchup aioli, all sandwiched between toasted buns. Manila Bulletin Lifestyle was among the first to try the OG Pinoy Burger, and to describe our dining experience, bitting onto the sandwich is like sinking your teeth into a classic Vigan Empanada sans the tangy flavor of the sukang Iloko. The burger is delicious with the sweet-savor taste of the juicy longganisa patty. Adding to its goodness is the sunny side egg with its runny yolk. While cutting the richness of it all is the store’s in-house pickled grated papaya or atsara. Rounding up the local twist is the banana ketchup aioli, a light sauce that perfectly complements all the components of the burger. Better ask for more table napkins because enjoying the burger could get a little messy with its buttered buns. Through its partnership with Tasteless Food Group, Bored & Hungry first came to the Philippines in late 2022 through a pop-up at Marriot Hotel. In March 2023, it opened its first store at The Grid Food Market, an upscale food hall inside Power Plant Mall, Makati City. *You can try its OG Pinoy Burger by visiting the food hall's Stall No. 7.
