This Band, the hit original pop rock group, recently renewed their contract with Viva Records.
Vocalist Andrea Manzano, songwriter-rhythm guitarist Euwie Von Loria, keyboardist Melvin Carson, lead guitarist Raymart Gubat, bassist Mikki Galvan and drummer John Macaranas signed a fresh multi-year, artist management and music recording contract with the storied Viva Records label late this week.
On hand during the re-signing are label executives headed by Viva Records president Verb Del Rosario.
Del Rosario commented that resigning with Viva was a new chapter for This Band.
“We had a very successful first five years with Andrea, Euwie, Carson, John, Mikki and Raymart and we look to double that success as they move on to a new phase in their careers.”
Andrea herself commented that the resigning signals a “level up” for the group.
“New start ito para sa amin. Feeling ko din that this will mean an upgrade for us in terms of what we can do with Viva.” The lead singer also added that This Band is “looking to do bigger things.”
“Gusto pa rin naming mag-stick sa kung paano kami nag umpisa, pero welcome kami sumubok sa iba pang genres (of music).”
As far as immediate plans go, This Band is in the process of releasing new music soon.
This Band first signed with Viva Records back in 2018 and immediately blew up in popularity with their debut single “Kahit Ayaw Mo Pa.” To date, the single has garnered upward of 200 million streams on Spotify and YouTube combined.
This Band also cemented their hit maker status with big songs such as “Hindi Na Nga,” “Di Na Babalik,” and “Nang Iwan” to name a few.
