Lawyer Antonio C. Pido is the new national president of the Integrated Bar of the Philippines (IBP).
Pido succeeded lawyer Burt M. Estrada whose term of office as national president ended last June 30.
The IBP is the official national organization of the country’s lawyers whose names appear in the Roll of Attorneys of the Supreme Court.
In its announcement in its official Facebook account, IBP said that Pido “is a former president of IBP Samar Chapter and governor for Eastern Visayas region, and served as executive vice president under Estrada.”
It said that also inducted last Tuesday were IBP Executive Vice President and Western Mindanao governor Allan Panolong, Norther Luzon governor Minerva Taguinod, Greater Manila governor Kriden Balgomera, Bicolandia fovernor Annalyn Sherry Hibo-Gamboa, Southern Luzon governor Pitero Reig, Western Visayas governor Cres Tan, Eastern Visayas governor Marlo Destura, and Eastern Mindanao governor PN Trinidad.
Pido finished his law degree at the University of the Philippines in 1982. He was a member of the Order of the Purple Feather honor society.
