Brian Poe Llamanzares, Ph.D., will hold a book signing event for his book "A Sustainable Future" on May 24, 2023, from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. at the National Book Store, SM Megamall, Bldg. A, EDSA corner Doña Julia Vargas Avenue, Ortigas Center, Mandaluyong, Metro Manila. The event is free and open to the public.
In his book, Llamanzares provides a hopeful and holistic view on collectively recognizing and tackling the whole range of issues in constructing sustainability. He also offers an explanation of the sustainability challenges facing the local setting, providing essential information to sustainability professionals and supporters of the cause. It also focuses on topics such as disaster resilience, water management and renewable energy.

Llamanzares encourages readers to read the book in order to acquire a deeper grasp of sustainability, especially young people. He emphasizes that “The book is designed to give students a basic background on the issues of climate vulnerability as a whole and realistically present some solutions which they can help push for when their time to lead comes.”
Llamanzares is a graduate of the Ateneo de Manila University with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Political Science. He then acquired his Ph.D. in Public Administration at the University of Perpetual Help. He also completed academic programs including “Global Strategic Leadership” at Wharton; Energy Innovation and Emerging Technologies at Stanford University; Evaluating Social Programs at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology; Leadership in Crises at the Harvard Kennedy School of Government; and Conference Diplomacy and Multilateral Negotiations at the United Nations in Geneva.

He also served as a chief of staff to his mother, Senator Grace Poe’s campaign for the Senate in 2019 and one of the younger chiefs of staff in the Senate.
The book was written in collaboration with the Manila Bulletin Publishing Corporation.
