‘Nag-uumapaw na Bayong at Pagmamahal para kay Nanay’
For the upcoming Mother’s Day, Community Pantry PH, led by Patricia Non, presents the “‘Nag-uumapaw na Bayong at Pagmamahal para kay Nanaym,” a perfect, and practical, gift basket to give to Moms. The bayong contains vegetables such as carrots, sweet potato, cauliflower, Baguio beans, cabbage, chayote, white onions, and celery, as well as fruits like pineapple, papaya, saging na sabá, sweet potato, melon, and singkamas.
The “Nag-uumapaw na Bayong at Pagmamahal para kay Nanay” also has a pack of brown rice, a card, and an apron crafted by the mothers of Payatas, who are survivors of the extrajudicial killings due to Oplan Tokhang. According to Patricia’s post, 100 percent of the proceed will support the Community Pantry’s sustainable food program, which also benefits local farmers.
