Foo Fighters enter new chapter post Taylor Hawkins in 'Rescued'

The Foo Fighters are back with their first single following their beloved drummer’s passing. Titled “Rescued,” the track finds the Foos dishing a hopeful, surging anthem with vocalist Dave Grohl intoning the following lyrics at the opening: “it came in a flash / it came out of nowhere / it happened so fast / and then it was over.” Many can't help but relate this to the passing of Taylor Hawkins. Dave’s lyrics turn hopeful though when he sings “are you thinking what I’m thinking / is this happening now? / are you feeling what I’m feeling? / this is happening now.” A nod to the possibilities of what the next stage could be for the Foo Fighters post-Hawkins? Foo Fighters are set to release a new full-length album this year. Said album is called “But Here We Are” and will be released in June 2023.
