End your tour at this museum with a café by the garden dining experience
Ayala Museum invites everyone to check out its newest chill spot—the Museya Kafé
By John Legaspi
Nothing says going back in time than visiting a museum. With all its curated displays of historical artifacts and iconic works of art, museums provide a fascinating adventure of discovery, bringing culture and heritage closer to the public. Lucky for us here in the capital, there’s a bounty of museums one can enter and explore, one of which is the Ayala Museum in Makati City. Since opening its doors after a year of renovation, the museum has been launching new offerings for its visitors to try. This time, it rounds up its museum experience with a gastronomic journey through specially brewed drinks and fusion eats.
Museya Kafé and its offerings
Opened last April 12, Museya Kafé invites museum-goers and the entire Greenbelt community to its alfresco space and enjoy its sips and eats. Located in the Café by the Garden, the food spot is the perfect place for visitors looking for a quick coffee break as they tour the museum or for anyone in need of a respite.
Leading Museya Kafé is noted Filipino chef Margarita Forés, the culinary master behind restaurants Cibo, Lusso, and Grace Park. Its menu features Filipino-inspired desserts, sandwiches, and other baked goods with refreshing juices, tea, and coffee made from locally-sourced Arabica coffee beans to match.
Adobo flakes sandwich with tomato and kesong puti and cappucino
What we tried at the outdoor café are its Adobo flakes sandwich with tomato and kesong puti and its cappuccino. The sourdough pandesal sandwich comes with a side of chips making it a well-rounded *merienda*, while the cappuccino is foamy and light, perfect for caffeine addicts who like their coffee creamy. Diners should also try its Dalandan Mint and Cucumber Camlansi Basil shakes. For something sweet, one can order its special ensaymada with prosciutto or its 24-month Parmigiano Reggiano cassava.

With it being surrounded by towering trees, near koi ponds, and having a calm atmosphere and cosmopolitan feel, Museya Kafé is a perfect venue for anyone who wants to chat over a cup of coffee with reimagined local treats on the side.
*Museya Kafé is open every day, from 10 a.m. to 9 p.m. To stay updated about its offerings and schedule, visit @museyakafe on Instagram.*
