Singer-songwriter Soy is slowly but surely making a name in Pinoy pop.
SOY had his start back in 2019, creating music with friends “just for fun."
"We were bored of our playlist," he related. "We got to thinking, what if we make a song just for fun and upload it on a streaming platform?”
Soy and friends were able to make good on the endeavor, and nobody was more amazed than Soy himself.
“We were surprised with the results, so we decided to make more, and we reached our first million streams on Spotify with ‘F.T.W. (Feel The Wave)’ and ever since it’s getting more exciting because I never know what’s coming.”
Soy, real name Aidyl Yatco, has released ten singles that include “Bituin” and recently released “Pano Na’to” – a surging, synth-based, modern sounding pop song featuring Valfer Alo.
Soy shared that his “short-term music goal is to write and record a new album that reflects my growth and evolution as an artist. I want to push myself creatively and experiment with new sounds and styles while staying true to my vision and voice. This endeavor will require discipline, focus, and dedication, but I'm excited about the prospect of creating something that will resonate with listeners and showcase my abilities as a songwriter and performer.”
“Ultimately, I hope to leave a lasting legacy through my music, touching people's lives and bringing joy and inspiration to those who listen. I know that this will require a lifetime of dedication and hard work, but I'm excited about the journey and the opportunities that lie ahead. With each new song and performance, I'll be one step closer to achieving my music goals and fulfilling my dreams.”
