Meet Oleato, Starbucks' next big coffee concoction
Are you ready for this coffee-olive oil fusion?
By John Legaspi
When it comes to ordering a brewed cup at Starbucks, coffee addicts already have their trusted go-to mixes to fuel them up. But it looks like things are about to change as the international coffee chain is crafting a new drink exploring the goodness that comes from olive oil.
Earlier this year, Starbucks unveiled its newest creation, the “Starbucks Oleato” line, offering a new experience by infusing coffee with premium Partanna extra virgin olive oil. It first debuted in its stores in Italy in February. Now, it is also available in select branches in Seattle and Los Angeles, and at Starbucks Reserve Roasteries and Reserve locations in Chicago, Seattle, and New York.

The “Starbucks Oleato” line features three signature drinks. First is the Starbucks Oleato Caffè Latte, which is described as a “deliciously lush latte.” To make it, the oat milk is infused with olive oil and then mixed with Starbucks Blonde Espresso Roast, giving a drink with a velvety smooth texture and subtle sweetness. Next is the Starbucks Oleato Iced Shaken Espresso. In a shaker, the Partanna olive oil is mixed with the cafe’s Blonde Espresso and toffeenut syrup. After mixing everything together, the blend is poured into an ice-filled glass and topped it creamy oat milk. Last is the Starbucks Oleato Golden Foam Cold Brew. Starbucks' signature cold foam gets its gold hue after it is mixed with olive oil. The foam is then poured into its hand-crafted cold brew. The way the cold foam cascades slowly through the dark cold brew coffee is definitely perfect for the Gram. According to [Starbucks’ website](https://stories.starbucks.com/starbucks-oleato-olive-oil-meets-coffee/), the “Oleato” line will be available “in select locations around the world later this year, including Japan, the Middle East, and the United Kingdom.” We are crossing our fingers that the beverage line will be available in the Philippines soon! *Hello, readers!
