There are eight new cases of corona virus disease 2019 (COVID-19) at the Department of Justice (DOJ) in Ermita, Manila, Undersecretary Emmeline Aglipay Villar said on Wednesday, March 17

“The DOJ main office and nearly annexes have been closed since March 12 and until today (March 17) for disinfection, and we are still operating on a 50 percent on-site workforce,” Villar said.
She said that “employees may also reimburse their COVID-19 testing fees.”
“The DOJ has been strictly observing all the safety protocols on social distancing, wearing of face masks and face shields, and hand washing,” she said.
“We also make sure that we have enough supplies of face masks, shields and alcohol. We have alcohol dispensers in all common areas,” she added.
About 30 DOJ employees have contracted COVID-19 since last year but the figure has not been officially confirmed.
