
The Bureau of Corrections (BuCor) on Friday, Jan. 7, said 1,658 of its personnel in seven prison facilities nationwide have been vaccinated against the coronavirus disease (COVID-19).
In a statement, BuCor said that 1,622 were fully vaccinated while 36 received their first dose.
Vaccinated at the New Bilibid Prison in Muntinlupa City were 37 personnel; Correctional Institution for Women (CIW) in Mandaluyong City, 138; Sablayan Prison and Penal Farm (SPPF) in Occidental Mindoro, 213; San Ramon Prison and Penal Farm (SRPPF) in Zamboanga City, 280; Iwahig Prison and Penal Farm (IPPF) in Palawan, 257; Leyte Regional Prison (LRP), 205; and Davao Prison and Penal Farm (DPPF), 528.
BuCor had earlier reported that 94.8 per cent of its prisoner population in seven facilities had received COVID vaccines as of Jan. 4.
A total of 25,238 persons deprived of liberty (PDLs) had been fully vaccinated while 20,817 got their first dose.
