Filipino rap group ALLMO$T makes a triumphant return with electrifying new track titled "Sugar Rush." The group, composed of Crakky, Rocel, Jom, and Clien, pulled out all the stops on this hip-hop and pop-infused banger. The song is a passionate ode to their desire “to be with the one they love '' and they deliver it with style, incorporating catchy hook choruses and rapid-fire rap verses that keep the energy high from start to finish. With its infectious beat and irresistible hooks, "Sugar Rush" is sure to leave long-time listeners on a high.
Electric and exciting all-girl sing and dance group Ppop Gen is back with their latest single "Hanggang Tingin Ka Lang." The track opens slowly as a piano ballad with a break-up statement: “masyado ka nang makulit / mga tanong paulit-ulit / bakit ba sarili pinipilit / pwede ka nang umalis.” And from there it just builds to a surging mix of rap, electro pop sounds rife with peppy choreography and layered harmonies, and R&B-styled vocals. Written by Kevin Yadao and produced by Yadao and veteran choreographer Geleen Eugenio, “Hanggang Tingin Ka Lang” seems to prop up Ppop Gen members Sofia, Gabh, Angela, Sarah, Madeleine, Princess, and Char’s cred as a tighter unit than the group’s previous incarnations.
Angelo Garcia, the recently minted AWIT award-winning singer-songwriter, showcases his romantic side with his latest release titled "Pramis." Garcia serenades listeners with this mid-tempo ballad that highlights the singer’s softer side with some retro pop flavor. The track is not complete without Angelo showcasing his guitar skills (he was a Music Hero finalist in Eat Bulaga a couple of years ago, after all). But he keeps it short and sweet, ensuring that the focus remains on the song's heartfelt lyrics and soulful melodies. Those familiar with Angelo Garcia’s work (with his trending previous single “Mamahalin”) will undoubtedly like his latest single and appreciate the artist's growth and evolution as a musician and songsmith.
Wild Dream Records now has its first rap act in Pecado with his debut single "AHON." The bouncy track is flavored with old-school rap, and hook choruses and peppered with faux island riddims that showcase the artist's unique sound and style. But what makes it pop for Pecado, whose real name is Prince Angelo Morales Alalay, is his positive messaging. He is adept with his rhymes as he is smooth with his delivery of said themes (sample lyric “Kahit na anong mangyari dapat dedma ka lang / sa paligid na (puro) negatibo ang laman / ibigay ang buong pwersa para may mapala, dapat mong kilusan hindi puro ngawa”). Adding to the track's allure are the dulcet backup vocals, which come courtesy of Wild Dream Records head Marion Aunor alongside the production of Cool Cat Ash (Ashley Aunor).
