P-pop girl group Yara is set to stake their claim in the music scene, signing with major music label Sony Music Entertainment.
The pop quartet--which include members Rocher, Kim, Christa and Gelou—will mark their debut with the release of their single “ADDA.”
“ADDA,” short for ‘apat dapat, dapat apat,’ is described as a fierce sounding, mid-tempo banger that mixes rap, dance beats and party atmospherics.
“Sony Music PH and YARA are a match made in heaven,” the girl-group collectively said in a statement.
“We were surprised that our vision and passion for music are the same. After everything that we’ve gone through, we are very happy that we finally found someone with whom we are confident to work with, especially with our music,” they added. “ADDA” was written by Yara’s very own Kim with Michael ‘Cursebox’ Negapatan. Yara said their group is all about empowerment. “The dynamics of ‘ADDA’ radiate our (own) confidence,” and “(hopefully) it empowers our listeners,” the group enthused. “ADDA” can now be streamed on all music platforms.
