In her desire to become a grandmother at 50, Sylvia Sanchez has been looking forward to such a milestone by purchasing baby clothes and other baby needs. The veteran actress revealed this when select media caught up with her at the blessing and formal opening of Limbaga 77 restaurant on the Garden level of Trinoma Mall in Quezon City recently. Sylvia, however, would not provide any further information on the rumored forthcoming wedding between her son, QC Congressman Arjo Atayde and Maine Mendoza.
She said she was also ignorant about news claiming her daughter, Ria Atayde, is also getting married to boyfriend Zanjoe Marudo. “Happy ako dahil happy ang mga anak ko!” ani Sylvia. “Excited ako sa maraming bagay na huwag na nating pag-usapan! Kung ano man ‘yun, excited na ako, huwag niyo na akong tanungin. Kasi baka ako ang magbuking!” Sylvia is currently on leave from acting, she’s busy as producer behind family-owned Nathan Films, whose newest film is called Topakk, starring Arjo Atayde and Julia Montes.
Diego Loyzaga and Julia Barretto also graced the formal opening of Limbaga 77. The two co-star in the new film, “Will You Be My Ex?” by Firefighters Studio led by RJ Agustin. Limbaga 77’s first outlet is along Scout Limbaga Street, near corner Morato Avenue, also in QC. To many, it’s the home of sweet memories, of good food and family affairs, friendships and work combined. As for my favorites on its menu, easy picks are Stuffed Laing, Kare-Kare, Steamed Pompano, and so many other dishes. Limbaga 77 also bakes its own cakes and pastries.
