StackLeague introduces Professional and Student divisions for the Third Season

Published Feb 9, 2023 09:23 am

StackLeague has recently announced the start of its eagerly awaited Season 3 on February 10th. The event, which marks the beginning of the new season, will be held at Microsoft Philippines located in Makati City and will bring together participants from various regions of the Philippines.

The third season of StackLeague, the largest online programming league in the country, features a new division system with over 20,000 participants. The two divisions, Pro League and Student League cater to different groups of players. The Pro League is geared towards professionals already in the industry, offering opportunities for career advancement, networking, and employment. Meanwhile, the Student League, which includes students from all educational levels, provides players with access to scholarships, mentorship programs, and internship opportunities.

“StackLeague Season 3 brings a new level of competition and opportunities, where players can showcase their programming skills, network with professionals, and be rewarded for their achievements. Join us on the journey to become a coding leader,” according to Haifa Carina Baluyos, Head of Growth at StackLeague.

The online programming competition features three different levels of competition: Bronze, Silver, and Gold. Participants who reach the Gold level are automatically awarded PHP500. The challenges they complete determine their points, which in turn affect their ranking. By advancing to higher levels, participants gain access to special perks, such as exclusive events and opportunities, and special giveaways.

At the end of the year, the Top 10 highest-ranked players from each division will be crowned the country’s best developers with media recognition, cash awards, and special prizes.

More Ways to Get Rewarded

The Season 3 of StackLeague provides multiple opportunities for players to win cash prizes. The Weekly Top 10 rewards the players with the highest weekly points. The Playoff is a monthly competition among the top players, leading up to the Playoff Finale in December. The Ambassador Program offers monthly rewards to players who actively inspire and motivate their communities to enhance their coding skills. The PVP Mode enables players to compete against each other, placing bets on the outcome of their coding duels.

The competition is supported by some of the biggest tech companies in the country, such as Microsoft, AWS, Gcash, Deltek, Viber, and Accenture, and companies providing job opportunities such as JobStreet, Workbank, and Kalibrr.

StackLeague is driven by a proprietary talent analytics technology that assesses the player’s proficiency in 8 core programming areas. These areas are selected based on the standards set by ACM and IEEE-CS, two globally recognized organizations that oversee degree programs in the computing field, including but not limited to computer science, software engineering, and information technology.
