Chicha San Chen opens its first Philippine store in Makati City

If there’s a drink many Filipinos can’t get enough of, it is milk tea. Everywhere people look, they can easily find a store for it, whether inside the mall or in their neighborhood. If you’re among those who can help but sip on this tea goodness, you’re in luck as a new international milk tea store arrived in the Philippines, and it is serving its award-winning creations.

Established in 1998 in Taiwan, Chicha San Chen opened its first Philippine store in Makati City earlier this month. Its mission is to make “high-quality, freshly brewed teas accessible to discerning tea drinkers.” It was able to do its goal by serving its customers “handcrafted by Taiwanese tea masters with over 20 years of experience, including having its own tea mountain, professional tea tasters and tea roasters.” Through the years, the brand got recognition for its brewed cup, opening stores in the US, Russia, UAE, China, Vietnam, and Singapore, among others. The latest addition to its growing global list of stores is the Philippines. 

“Chicha San Chen’s Green Tea holds a prestigious Highest International Authority ITI certification for quality and utilizes an exclusive patented product and technology that allows more than 1,000 custom settings and a three-stage temperature control brewing technique to bring out the tea’s best flavor and natural scent, and maintain consistency in the quality and taste profiles of its bubble tea,” the brand says on its website. “With high-quality tea as its mainstay, Chicha San Chen marries the best of bubble tea with traditional tea bringing one of life’s greatest pleasures to the world.”

What Filipino milk tea lovers can see in its local store is its Lion Teaspresso Machine, which helps it craft the best-brewed cup. As for the drinks, people can try some of its global favorites such as the Buble Milk Tea (P195), Dong Ding Oolong Tea Latte (P170), and Milk with Brown Sugar Bubble (P220). Fruity drinks such as the Lemon Wonderland (P230) and Taiwanese Fruit Tea (P230) are also available in the store. While Taro drink-loving Pinoy will definitely go loco for its Taro series.
