The Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical, and Astronomical Services Administration (PAGASA) said the spilling operations at the Angat and Ipo dams in Bulacan ceased on Thursday, Dec. 7.

“With this development and with no significant forecast rainfall for the next 24 to 72 hours, this is the final dam/flood situationer for this event,” PAGASA said in its 9 a.m. advisory.
PAGASA said the northeast monsoon, locally known as “amihan,” which is prevailing in Northern Luzon, and the easterlies, which is affecting the rest of the Philippines, are the two weather systems that may bring light rains to some parts of the country.
It noted that only one spillway gate at Angat Dam was opened for domestic water supply.
Based on PAGASA’s monitoring as of 9 a.m., the water level at Angat Dam was 212.57 meters.
Meanwhile, PAGASA said Ipo Dam stopped releasing water at 3 p.m. on Wednesday, Dec. 6, and its water level as of Dec. 7 was 100.99 meters.
The spilling level of Angat Dam is 212 meters, while that of Ipo Dam is 101 meters.
