Sec Remulla dispels rumors of hospitalization

Justice Secretary Jesus Crispin C. Remulla dispelled rumors that he was confined in an intensive car unit (ICU) of a hospital.

“That’s all political propaganda of some desperate people,” Remulla said during a press briefing at the Department of Justice (DOJ)

“I was never in the ICU. Kalokohan ito (This is foolishness),” he declared.

He admitted that in the past weeks he "had to take a step back.” He said: "My heart is good but there are things I had to work on for my physical health."

He said he had a heart bypass last June 27 but he said he decided to immediately go back to work after the surgery.

“With the diseases coming out now it’s better to be careful,” he said.

“Four months after the heart bypass operation I wanted to see my doctor and I saw my doctor because I felt I was not making the right progress in the recovery,” he recounted.

“I’m 62 years old. I’m not a spring chicken and I have to be careful," he also said.
