Marcos hails OFWs' contribution to economy, workforce quality
On OFW Family Day, President Marcos paid tribute to the contributions of Filipino migrant workers both to strengthen the country's economy and workforce.

We are not just talking about the remittances and their contributions to the economy)," Marcos said in his speech during the event held in Pasay City on Wednesday, Dec. 20.
They also bring with them the new skills and knowledge that they share to our workforce. So, we honor and thank them today for their hardwork and sacrifices)," Marcos added.
The President graced the event dubbed "Nagkakaisang Pamilyang OFWs Patungo sa Bagong Pilipinas" which celebrates the families and loved ones of OFWs, who continuously serve as their pillar of strength as they pursue their dreams of a better life.
He further honored them as the true example of "modern Filipino workforce."
To our OFWs who continue to showcase diligence, skills, and strength in their professions and our pride worldwide: You are the real example of the modern Filipino workforce)," Marcos expressed.
The Chief Executive also ensured that the government will continue to provide programs to assist them and their families, and to give them a better life.
He likewise urged them to keep supporting the government in its efforts and programs.
In his speech, he cited several programs that intend to help them and their families while they are away and when they decide to return to the country.
