In a constantly evolving world, a collaboration between innovation and purpose creates a deeper meaning to any endeavor.  Very recently, OPPO and Rags2Riches (R2R) aligned their resources and visions to champion Filipino artisans and promote sustainability through a limited-edition collection of fashion pieces.  This partnership interlaces innovation, fashion, creativity and sustainability.

Known for its commitment to continuous innovation, OPPO Philippines has found a meaningful partner in R2R, a social enterprise known for creating beautiful and eco-friendly accessories and homeware.  R2R works with artisans from underprivileged communities, providing fair wages, skills training and business development opportunities.  R2R gives overstock, upcycled cloths and indigenous fabrics new life; hence, reducing environmental impact.

The collaborative masterpiece features OPPO's partnered creatives - Rei Germar, David Guison, Pam Quiñones and Daryl Chang collaborating with R2R artisans.

Constructed from environmentally conscious materials, the fashion pieces epitomize style and advocate for the support of local artistry, preservation of tradition and conservation of the environment. Rei Germar's innovative dumpling bag that transforms into an onigiri-shaped handbag, incorporates upcycled fabric and indegenous Binetwagan weaves. Pam Quiñones' completely hand-stitched Loop bag is a vegan masterpiece. It features a woven body in a checkerboard pattern. Daryl Chang's Ring Sling Bag containing a leather drawstring pouch, a round zip purse and a phone sleeve continues the trend. The same is true with David Guison's Pixel Crossbody Bag that is uniquely designed and made with upcycled woven fabric.

The limited-edition bag collection provides a stage for R2R's partner artisans to showcase their talents.  Profits will directly benefit their families.  To enhance the artisans' daily lives, OPPO products will also be provided.

Joanarc Sales, Head of PR and CRM at OPPO Philippines shared, "OPPO is dedicated to impactful partnerships like R2R.  This is just the beginning of our shared journey to promote sustainability."

In the spirit of giving, these limited-edition pieces are ideal Christmas gifts.  They can be pre-ordered via the R2R website.  All proceeds go exclusively to R2R artisans.  You can further extend your generosity by donating OPPO phones and other tech items to help Filipino artisans and their families.  You can visit the OPPO website to know more about this campaign.
