November Agricultural Festivals

We’re nearing the end of the year! 2023 has been such a ride, and we’re sure you’re looking forward to the upcoming holidays the end of the year has. But before that, here are some festivals you can get excited for, too! Explore these different agri-related festivals for the month of November.

Pintaflores Festival \| San Carlos\, Negros Occidental

November 3

Flower power is particularly strong during the Pintaflores Festival of San Carlos. During this festival, the town is beautifully decorated with flowers of different shapes and colors. The essence of this festival is to showcase the fusion of arts and nature. The highlight of the festival is the flower streetdance, where performers are costumed according to a particular flower and decorate the streets of San Carlos. People can also go on to enjoy trade fairs, a carnival, contests, music festivals, themed shows, and a beautiful fireworks display.

Itik Festival \| Victoria\, Laguna

November 12

Itik is the star product of Victoria, Laguna, which is why it is celebrated annually alongside the town’s founding anniversary. This means double the festivities! Locals gather to watch the street dance competition between the different schools of the town.. Other events are different competitions such as e-sports and performances. But the highlight of the festival is the showcasing of different delicacies out of itik and the foodfest that follows

P'yagsawitan Festival \| Maragusan\, Davao

Third Week

The indigenous groups of Maragusan give thanks to a wonderful harvest through cultural rituals performed during the P’yagsitawan Festival. During this time, the locals also celebrate the town’s founding anniversary, Araw ng Maragusan. Festivities include indigenous culture performances, pageants, talent competitions, sports matches, and more.

Guipao Festival \| Sagnay\, Camarines Sur

November 25

Sagnay celebrates an abundant sea harvest through the Guipao Festival. The town also holds the festival in honor of its patron saint, St. Andrew the Apostle. Festivities are centered around activities honoring the greatness and thanksgiving to the wealth of the sea. The crowd looks forward to the various competitions, raffles, search for Miss Sagnay, and, the main highlight, the street dancing competition.
