BuCor names new acting superintendent of Davao Prison

The Bureau of Corrections (BuCor) has appointed Corrections Senior Inspector Edgardo F. Mendoza Jr. as acting superintendent of the Davao Prison and Penal Farm (DPPF) in Davao del Norte.

In a statement, BuCor said that Mendoza replaced CSInsp. Nonie C. Forro who was reassigned to the San Ramon Prison and Penal Farm (SRPPF) in Zamboanga.

It said the turnover ceremony was held at the DPPF last Nov. 17.

During the  meeting, BuCor said Mendoza  expressed his commitment “to fulfill his new duties and responsibilities and emphasized the importance of continuity, collaboration, and commitment to the bureau’s goals, values and objectives.”

Mendoza was previously assigned as chief of the administration section of SRPPF.
