Celebrity mom Isabelle Daza was able to raise funds for Elvie Vergara, a domestic helper from Occidental Mindoro, who reportedly suffered abuse (and is partially blind) at the hands of her employers.

Isabelle posted a heartwarming video on Instagram, Monday, Nov. 20, 2023. She captioned her post, “Finally, I was able to give the money to Elvie Vergara herself. A total of P1,000,000 in a Manager’s check…To those who donated you have helped change a life and thank you for trusting me that I wouldn't scam you lol.”

 

With tears in her eyes, the actress expressed that the donation is intended for the future needs of Elvie. She also expressed gratitude to all her supporters and netizens who generously contributed.
 

“Mayroon po akong maliit na regalo po sa’yo kasi nalaman ko ang kwento mo noong nanood ako sa news. Sa tulong ng mga followers ko po at sa lahat ng mga nanood ng story mo, meron silang na-donate po para sa’yo. Itong donation po namin is regalo namin sa inyo dahil sa lahat po ng pinagdaanan n’yo po,” she said, adding, “Para po sa medical needs n’yo, at sa future. Gusto ko lang sana ibigay sa’yo personally kasi ‘yung mga followers at yung mga taong nag-donate pinagkatiwalaan po ako.”

The Instagram reel received an outpouring of hearts and well wishes from both netizens and celebrities.
