Venice Grand Canal presents 'Grandeur of Christmas'

Featuring the floating 40-foot Christmas tree

Venice Grand Canal at McKinley Hill, launched their exciting “Grandeur of Christmas” celebration for the holiday season with the lighting of the floating 40-foot christmas tree at the famed canal.

The festive extravaganza also promises a delightful array of activities that invokes the magic of the season, including the return of the Grand Christmas Parade, a spectacle inspired by Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade in New York, after a three-year hiatus.

“Through the years, Venice Grand Canal has been a favorite destination for the nearby communities to share the wonders of Christmas. With the return of our beloved Grand Christmas Parade and an array of enchanting holiday experiences, our aspiration is for everyone to come together with their loved ones and relish the events they've missed the most,” said Graham Coates, head of Megaworld Lifestyle Malls.

Everyone is invited to see the majestic 40-foot floating tree at the Venice Grand Canal, serving as the mall’s main attraction for the festive holiday season. The tree lighting ceremony last Nov. 16, 2023 was attended by no less than the Hon. Mayor Lani Cayetano herself, who was joined by other local government officials and Megaworld Lifestyle Malls executives.

On Dec. 9, prepare to be captivated as Venice Grand Canal brings back the beloved Grand Christmas Parade to McKinley Hill. The air will be filled with enchantment as this magical procession sweeps through, creating moments of joy and wonder for all. Kids and kids at heart will delight in a procession of their favorite holiday mascots that will traverse McKinley West up to McKinley Hill.

Venice Grand Canal is now decked in a vibrant display of lights and decorations, with the theme Holidays in Venice. The Christmas visuals are the perfect backdrop for creating unforgettable memories of wonder and delight.

In Santa’s Spectacular Sidekicks, mall-goers, especially the children, can enjoy the season with smiles and laughter with all-time favorite mascots visiting the mall including Badanamu, Pororo, and many more. As a special treat for all Saturdays of December, the mall is featuring a grand fireworks display in Light up the Venice Sky that can be enjoyed by everyone.

Bring home a piece of the holidays with a special lineup of treats and trinkets at the Merry Marketplace. The Christmas fair will showcase a curated selection of festive goodies, perfect for gifting or treating yourself.

Feel the holiday spirit come alive with a lineup of special performances at Christmas Wonderland Wonders. From enchanting musical acts to mesmerizing dance routines, each performance is designed to evoke the joy and magic of the season.
