The National Bureau of Investigation (NBI) starts on Monday, Nov. 13, its two-day celebration of its 87th founding anniversary.
In a statement, the NBI said its theme for this year's anniversary celebration is “Modernong NBI Kaagapay ng Bagong Pilipinas (Modern NBI stands with the New Philippines).”
“This year’s theme is in conjunction with the on-going modernization of the bureau in terms of infrastructure, processes and organizational structure with the objective of boosting its investigative and forensic capabilities in order to better serve the public and maintain its legacy as the most trusted and respected premier law enforcement agency in the country, handling high profile cases, for the past 87 years,” it said.
To start the celebration, the NBI will be awarding its employees recognition of their service to the bureau.
Justice Secretary Jesus Crispin C. Remulla is set to join the first day of the celebration at the Diamond Hotel, it said.
On Tuesday, Nov. 14, the NBI will hold a command conference to discuss the new Organizational Structure and Staffing Pattern (OSSP) of the bureau and the presentation of the accomplishments and concerns of various services.
The celebration will be capped by an Employees Night later that day, it said.
