The runway show will benefit The Philippine Missionari Della Fondazione di Carita, Inc. and the Gusi Peace Prize Foundation

After his successful show in Paris, noted Filipino fashion designer Michael Cinco is set to present his latest works in Manila. The couture collection, titled “The Impalpable Dream of España,” was first showcased in Dubai and is made up of over 50 haute couture looks.

As the name suggests, the collection is mainly inspired by the country of Spain. Michael looked at the beauty of the historic La Sagrada de Familia in Barcelona, iconic works of Spanish-native artists like Pablo Picasso and Salvador Dalí, and the captivating Spanish matadors and flamenco dancers in making the collection.

“I’ve been always fascinated by the Spanish culture,” Michael says. “I like the arts, the history, the architecture.”

The event will also mark the unveiling of Michael’s new perfume series and jewelry line, offering a complete lifestyle brand experience. Apart from it being a fashion affair, the gala will also benefit The Philippine Missionari Della Fondazione di Carita, Inc. and the Gusi Peace Prize Foundation. In 2022, Michael was honored with The Gusi Peace Prize by the Gusi Peace Prize Foundation based in Manila. The award is given to “individuals and organizations who contribute to global peace and progress through a wide variety of fields.”

“I was an awardee of the Gusi Peace Prize last year, so this time I wanted to give back through the show to help the foundation,” the designer muses.

“The Philippine Legacy Gala 2023 - Michael Cinco: The Impalpable Dream of España” will take place on Nov. 27 at the Marriott Grand Ballroom in Manila.
