Golden elegance for F&C Jewelry
Fifty years of brilliant craftsmanship
It all started five decades ago, exactly Oct. 15, 1973, when Marcelino M. Florete Jr. and his wife Susan Caperonce-Florete put up F&C Jewelry. Their first branch, which still exists, is located at 73 Guanco Street in Iloilo City. And after 50 years, they now boast of 73 branches nationwide.

The couple’s three children now take the lead as they continue to produce sparkling collections, with CEO Marcelino Florete III, Executive Vice President and Director Marjorie Florete, and Marjorie Florete Gorriceta who holds positions of business development, marketing director, and gemologist.

Last Oct. 19, 2023, the family hosted “F&C Jewelry Anniversary Soiree” at the Isabella function room, which was transformed into a golden venue with a regal archway that greeted guests at the entrance. A digital wall and product showcase piqued the guests’ interest in this homegrown jewelry brand.

Along with the celebration is a short program with ballet dancers performing while wearing the brand’s pieces. Susan, Marcelino, Marissa, and Marjorie also expressed their gratitude to their staff and clients, and presented their newest brand ambassador Sofia Andres.

Hosted by Yanna Laurel, the evening’s celebration continued with raffle prizes and overflowing drinks and scrumptious canapes.
