Pinoy Pride: This 13-year-old Fil-Am actor leads upcoming Pixar Film 'Elio'

Another Pinoy pride as Filipino-American Actor Yonas Kibreab leads the upcoming Disney and Pixar's 28th feature film "Elio."

"Elio" is a captivating sci-fi animated movie that takes place in outer space. The story revolves around Elio, an underdog who unintentionally finds himself transported to outer space and is mistaken for Earth's ambassador.
 

Kibreab's voice will bring the character of Elio to life. Joining him in the film are notable stars such as America Ferrera, known for her roles in "Superstore," Jameela Jamil, recognized for her performance in "The Good Place," and Brad Garrett who has lent his voice to other beloved animated films like "Ratatouille" and "Finding Nemo."

Kibreab's career took off when the U.S. Tennis Association noticed his entertaining tennis-related content, leading to his role as a "kidcaster" in the 2018 U.S. Open. Since then, he has made appearances on the big screen and in various TV series, including "Silicon Valley," "Pupstruction," "Obi-Wan Kenobi," and "Sweet Tooth."
 

Now, the talented Fil-Am actor is embarking on a new adventure in the sci-fi film "Elio," which is scheduled for theatrical release on March 1, 2024.
