Malacañang debunked circulating information that Nov. 3 is a holiday and that government work and classes are suspended on Oct. 31.
Executive Secretary Lucas Bersamin said on Thursday, Oct. 26, that Nov. 3 is not a holiday.
He also earlier said that the Palace is not suspending work in government offices and classes in public schools from 12 noon of Oct. 31, debunking a memorandum circular that has been going around online.
Bersamin said these are fake news.
The Executive Secretary has confirmed on Oct. 24 that the President has no plans to declare Oct. 31 as a non-working holiday.
Oct. 31, Tuesday, will be sandwiched between two special non-working holidays and is in the middle of a long weekend holiday.
Marcos has declared Oct. 30, 2023, Monday, a special non-working day across the country to allow the people to vote in the much-awaited Barangay and Sangguniang Kabataan Elections (BSKE).
It will be followed by two more holidays —Nov. 1 and 2—for the observance of All Souls' and Saints' Days.
