Pregnant Kourtney Kardashian reveals ultrasound saved her baby's life

"I will be forever grateful to my incredible doctors."

Television personality, businesswoman, and socialite Kourtney Kardashian Barker revealed that her baby boy with Travis Barker was saved by an ultrasound.

The founder of posh, who is currently pregnant, discussed in her interview in Vogue November 2023 issue that she had fetal surgery in September in anticipation of the arrival of her fourth baby.

"That experience opened my eyes to a whole new world of pregnancy that I didn't know about in the past," she said, adding, "It was terrifying. And I learned that insurance typically only covers two ultrasounds when you're pregnant, I had no idea. I've always been lucky enough to do more than what insurance covers, and it's one of those ultrasounds that saved my baby's life."

The Kardashians star opened up about her pregnancy complications through an Instagram post. She shared a black-and-white photo of her hand intertwined with her husband's and expressed her deep gratitude to the amazing doctors who played a crucial role in saving their baby's life. "I will be forever grateful to my incredible doctors for saving our baby’s life," she wrote.
 

"I am eternally grateful to my husband who rushed to my side from tour to be with me in the hospital and take care of me afterwards, my rock. And to my mom, thank you for holding my hand through this," she continued.

"As someone who has had three really easy pregnancies in the past, I wasn’t prepared for the fear of rushing into urgent fetal surgery. I don’t think anyone who hasn’t been through a similar situation can begin to understand that feeling of fear," she narrated, adding, "I have a whole new understanding and respect for the mamas who have had to fight for their babies while pregnant."

After experiencing a stroke of fortune, the Lemme Founder wrapped up her journey, penning, "Praise be to God. Walking out of the hospital with my baby boy in my tummy and safe was the truest blessing."

Kourtney Kardashian, who stars in the reality TV show "Keeping Up with the Kardashians," is currently pregnant with her first child with husband Travis Barker. In addition to their upcoming arrival, Kourtney is already a mother to her three children: daughter Penelope, 11, and sons Reign, 8, and Mason,13, whom she shares with her ex-partner Scott Disick.
