National Mental Health Summit to be held this weekend

Mind You invites everyone to this free mental health summit to foster more compassionate communities

During this Mental Health Awareness Month, Mind You Philippines extends an invitation to all for their yearly National Mental Health Summit, scheduled for Oct. 22, 2023, at the BGC Amphitheater in Taguig City.

The theme for this year's summit is "MY Kapwa," incorporating Mind You's initials while emphasizing the profound message that compassion resides within both us and our communities.

Founded in 2018 by a diverse group of five individuals with both Filipino and international backgrounds, Mind You Philippines strives to make mental health more accessible and affordable in the Philippines by leveraging data-driven mental healthcare solutions. The National Mental Health Summit is one key activity by the group aimed at elevating the conversation and action points for mental health in the country.

The summit is open to the public, and admission is free, as Mind You hopes to bring as many people together for a day of education and mental wellness activities. Running from 8:00 a.m to 6:30 p.m. MY Kapwa will shed light on the state of mental health in the Philippines and offer a day of group therapy with immersive breakout sessions and talks from and with mental health experts, fellow advocates, and Mind You's partners, including Nadine Lustre, and Yassi Pressman

Supported by The Medical City and Taguig City, My Kapwa will tackle key topics, including the importance of a support system, breaking mental health stigmas, and the courage to be seen, as well as overcoming stress and anxiety. These will be addressed through group activities, panel discussions, and sessions organized by Mind You and its team of experts.
