Nadine Lustre's 'Paligoy-ligoy' trends on TikTok

In TikTok, there’s no such thing as yesterday’s hit.

Such is the case with Nadine Lustre’s 2014 hit “Paligoy-ligoy” which is now trending on the popular app after it was revived as a dance challenge.

“Paligoy-ligoy” resurfaced at the beginning of 2023, just as Nadine’s movie “Deleter” was lording it over at the box-office.

To date, the TikTok Dance Challenge version of the track has already gained 24 million views on the popular short-form video app.

Such as that the song is also now the number one song on Spotify’s “Challenge Accepted” playlist.

Said playlist gathers the trending dance tracks of the day that users from TikTok to YouTube are using.

Sung and recorded by Nadine back in 2014, “Paligoy-ligoy” is one of the main tracks from the “Diary Ng Panget” soundtrack. Said movie launched her to stardom as with reel/real love interest James Reid.  

Nadine herself recently acknowledged the dance challenge with a recent post.
