2 suspects wanted for killing Taytay cop arrested


The Rizal Police Provincial Office (Rizal PPO) announced on Wednesday, Sept. 20, the arrest of the two other suspects wanted for the killing of a Taytay, Rizal police officer on Sept. 7.

The police identified the suspects as Eleo Poblador Belda and Caroso Poblador Belda Jr. The two are wanted for killing PSSgt. Allan Guimpayan while he was eating in an eatery in Taytay.

Based on the police report, the suspects were nabbed on Sept. 14 in Barangay Muzon, San Jose Del Monte, Bulacan.

Seized from them were the Beretta cal. 9mm service pistol of Guimpayan and a hand grenade.

The pieces of evidence were turned over to the Rizal Provincial Forensic Unit for ballistic examination.

On Sept. 18, 2023, the suspects were presented for Inquest Proceedings for Violation of RA 10591 (Comprehensive Law on Firearms and Ammunition) and RA 9516 (Illegal/Unlawful Possession of Explosive-Hand grenade) before the office of National Prosecution Service III, City of San Jose Del Monte, Bulacan under Assistant City Prosecutor Romel P. Delos Reyes. 

The arrested suspects are currently detained at Taytay Custodial Facility pending preliminary investigation, the Rizal PPO said.

The two other accomplices of the suspects were arrested in a hot pursuit operation last Sept. 9.
